I'm so glad I didn't take my shirt off yet...

A short but funny story: Patrick was running a boot for Justin Friday night. We'd already picked up the liquour earlier that day so the kid only had to pick it up from our apartment. I'd been cleaning for a while and I was ready to strip off my shirt (shown to the right) to just my red camisole underneath. So Patrick came home, got the bottles and brought them downstairs to our sidedoor. He was gone for a good ten minutes when I heard a wet *SHLOP* against the window. I look out to see Justin and Co. waving at me to apparently open the side door. (He threw a slushball, if anyone was wondering) So I go down to open the door thinking Patrick locked himself out too and there's Justin....along with a throng of friends, and directly behind him: Garrett.

*twitch*

I haven't seen him in ages, let alone talk to him so I had some odd, conflicting feelings stirring in my stomach. And there he was, waving and looking at the same time the goofy kid I dated and something different. A little older, maybe...I swear he's taller too, if that were possible.

Honestly, I haven't been able to get him completely out of my head since then. It didn't help that a couple days before I caught myself staring at a poster promoting a memorial hockey tournament honouring fallen officers and firefighters, and I saw his dad. I looked really closely at his face and saw how much Garrett really looked like him, remembering the day Chelsy told me how strong the kid I had started to date really was.

I miss him, if only for the closeness he gave me and for the month and a half we dated, it was wonderful. It's been so long, he probably doesn't even think twice of me now. I can't believe I am of him now! But I must, if I went to open the door in the get-up I was dressed in (see above)

Damnit Vickie, don't forget about Denex! He's home soon!

Hi Rex!
