Round 2, Game 1 - Germany Vs. Sweden - Thoughts on the first fifteen minutes

From the get-go I knew this was going to be one killer game. Sweden still heavy favourites after their last minute comeback 2-2 tie to England on Tuesday while Germany has the huge home field advantage.

Goal #1 - Failure to control the rebound cost Sweden the first goal as up-'n-coming youngerster Podolski swept up the loose ball and hammered it into the net.

Goal #2 - With just a whisper of a pass from Klose, Podolski comes up big AGAIN, scoring an unchalleged 2nd goal for the Germs!

I hate how I have to go to work and miss the rest of the game, but I gotta pay for my wild lifestyle somehow ^_~

GO GERMANY! I HEART PODOLSKI!!
