It's over, and the Cup goes to...

Carolina. Good job guys. Dougie Weight I still think you're kinda cool, and Ward, darnit if people don't call you Patrick Roy incarnate. This is Carolina's first Stanley Cup, guys, and they really worked hard and deserved the win.

Well Oilers, we were with you through the season, through the playoffs and through this final series, and we'll still be with you as you head home to pats on the back and interviews asking "What happened?" Many will still fly their Oilers pride far into July, but for most, they will fold up the flags, hang the jerseys, and switch the bobble-head Chris Prongers on their car dashboard for a hula dancer trinket. Even if the mood is significantly more subdued or half-hearted when you get home, just remember that inside each of your fans is an incomparable pride that can't be extinguished by even the most disappointing loss. Thanks for the ride and enjoy the break, you most definately deserved it. We'll all be waiting.

Now...didn't someone say that the CFL pre-season started?! EDMONTON ESKIMOS: DEFENDING CHAMPIONS!!
